I don’t see a lot of money here

Wow. The film Inside Llewyn Davis was as hard to watch as I imagined.

Especially that scene when Llewyn sings and plays his heart out (not unusual for he’s always giving his whole shredded soul when he performs) in front of Bud Grossman, a big Chicago folk promoter/manager and Grossman says, “I don’t see a lot of money here.”

Exactly. No truer words were spoken.


if you can’t read the amount, the whopping number is $18.80 baby

I think we made maybe $30 this year on our music. But if it was about the money, we would have quit long ago. That’s what fictional and real characters like Grossman don’t seem to get.
